Taco Pizza Recipe

My Taco Pizza recipe is one that you will want to put in your regular dinner rotation! It’s easy (made in about 30 minutes), it’s filling, and best of all, it’s mouthwateringly delicious. Some might even say addicting. Can you stop at just one slice of Taco Pizza? Trust me, you’ll want 2 slices! The soft crescent pizza crust is topped with meat and cheese then covered with a sour cream drizzle. Oh, and I can’t forget the pizza sauce! The special cheese sauce in my Taco Pizza makes it OVER THE TOP!

  1. 1 can of crescent dough sheets
  2. 1/2 bar of cream cheese (4 oz) *at room temperature if possible!*
  3. 1/2 pound of ground beef
  4. 2 tablespoons of taco seasoning (use a mild, medium, or hot taco seasoning packet based on preference)
  5. 1/2 cup of sour cream
  6. 1 cup of shredded cheese
  7. Shredded lettuce
  8. Sliced cherry tomatoes (or whatever kind of tomatoes you have:)
  9. 1/2 teaspoon of hot sauce. *You can substitute this with 1 teaspoon of taco sauce*

Other Supplies Needed:

  1. 8×8 baking dish
  2. Flat baking pan
  3. Non-stick spray
  4. Pizza slicer
  5. Spatula
  6. Mixing bowl
  7. Pan for cooking the ground beef
  8. Small pot for melting the cheese sauce

  1. Preheat oven to 375° F
  2. Prepare the 8×8 baking dish with non stick spray
  3. Roll the crescent sheet out into the bottom of the baking dish
  4. Bake the crescent sheet for 10-15 minutes until it is golden (be careful, it burns quickly, but you do want the dough cooked through so keep your eye on it!). While the pizza crust is baking:
  5. Place the cream cheese into a small pot on simmer
  6. As the cream cheese begins to melt, add the taco seasoning. Stir frequently
  7. Cook the ground beef and drain the fat
  8. In a small mixing bowl, mix the sour cream and hot sauce (or taco sauce)
  9. When the pizza crust is done baking, remove it from the baking dish and place it on a baking sheet (a spatula helps with this). *NOTE: Keep the oven on!
  10. Using a spatula, spread the melted seasoned cream cheese sauce on top of the crust
  11. Add the ground beef over the seasoned cream cheese sauce
  12. Drizzle the sour cream mixture over the ground beef (you can do this with a spoon, or you can place the sour cream in a baggie and cut the tip off to drizzle it like you would on a dessert)
  13. Cover the pizza with shredded cheese
  14. On the flat baking sheet, return the pizza to the oven for 3-5 minutes until the cheese topping is melted. While the cheese topping is melting:
  15. Prepare your diced tomatoes and shredded cheese
  16. Optional: have other favorite taco toppings, get those ready too!
  17. Remove the taco pizza from the oven, sprinkle with shredded lettuce and tomatoes
  18. Slice the pizza using a pizza roller and serve hot
